Preschool Teacher for Child Development Center

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team at the MAOF Child Care and Development Centers in San Jose, CA. This role requires an individual who is passionate about early childhood education and can create a nurturing environment for children aged 5 years old.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement educational activities that promote social, intellectual, physical, and emotional development.
• Integrate various learning elements into daily routines, focusing on subjects such as science, math, art, and language.
• Ensure child safety and conduct health checks.
• Maintain daily records of children’s progress and activities.
• Meet with parents to discuss their child’s progress and involve them in the educational process.
• Support child-rearing responsibilities and collaborate with families.
• Supervise aides and volunteers.
• Organize and maintain the classroom environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid Teacher Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a preschool setting.
• 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• If working with infants and toddlers, 3 Infant and Toddler units are required.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional variations as needed.
