South Shore Early Education and Care, a program of South Shore Community Action Council, is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our Early Education team in West Yarmouth. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging daily lesson plans and curriculum using Creative Curriculum
- Create and maintain a safe, healthy, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Provide teaching activities that align with EEC Program Standards
- Assist with meals and classroom routines
- Monitor children on the bus as assigned
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in other program activities and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Massachusetts EEC certification in Preschool is required
- CDA, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred
- Ability to speak and understand English is Required
- Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Or Arabic Language Skills are a plus, but not required
- 18 years of age required
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license required
Pay
- CDA: $24.60/hour
- AA/AS: $25.62/hour
- BA/BS: $27.67/hour
Schedule
- Full-time, year-round position — 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
- No nights or weekends
