Preschool Teacher - EEC Certified

South Shore Early Education and Care, a program of South Shore Community Action Council, is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our Early Education team in West Yarmouth. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging daily lesson plans and curriculum using Creative Curriculum
• Create and maintain a safe, healthy, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
• Provide teaching activities that align with EEC Program Standards
• Assist with meals and classroom routines
• Monitor children on the bus as assigned
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in other program activities and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Massachusetts EEC certification in Preschool is required
• CDA, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred
• Ability to speak and understand English is Required
• Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Or Arabic Language Skills are a plus, but not required
• 18 years of age required
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license required

Pay

• CDA: $24.60/hour
• AA/AS: $25.62/hour
• BA/BS: $27.67/hour

Schedule

• Full-time, year-round position — 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
• Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• No nights or weekends
