About the role

The position involves implementing a center or home-based education program for eligible preschool children, ensuring compliance with Head Start or State program standards and other relevant guidelines. Responsibilities include developing education plans to meet assessed needs and interpreting family and child eligibility for federal and state programs.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.
• Two years experience providing instruction to children in an early childhood setting is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is desirable.
• California Child Development Teacher Permit or higher level permit is required.
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification is required.
• Transcripts (unofficial or official) are required at the time of application.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• A valid Driver's License is required.
• Proof of insurance for personal vehicle use in the course of employment is required.

Benefits

A benefit entitlement for health, dental, and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.

Schedule

The length of the work year is 180 work/191 paid days/year, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, (7:30am - 4:00pm).

Pay

Initial salary placement is restricted to a maximum of Step 3 ($29.24/hr).
