Location: The Learning Experience – Gaithersburg, MD
Responsibilities
- Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a preschool classroom.
- Implement The Learning Experience’s proprietary L.E.A.P. curriculum.
- Create engaging activities supporting early literacy, math, science, creativity, and social‑emotional development.
- Encourage independence, communication, problem‑solving, and positive peer relationships.
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance.
- Observe children’s development and maintain required classroom documentation.
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families.
- Collaborate with classroom support teachers and center leadership.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment.
- Follow Maryland childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Must meet Maryland requirements to serve as a qualified preschool teacher.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous professional preschool, daycare, childcare, or early childhood experience preferred.
- CDA, early childhood education coursework, or related credentials are a plus.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Dependable, nurturing, energetic, and team‑oriented.
- Ability to meet all applicable Maryland childcare licensing requirements.

Pay
$17–$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full‑Time, Monday‑Friday.
