Preschool Teacher

About the role

As a Preschool Teacher at the OFJCC Leslie Family Preschool, you will create and implement programs and promote learning in a licensed, Reggio-inspired, play-based, constructivist preschool program.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement educational programs for children aged 18 months to 5 years.
• Work within the guiding principles and values of the OFJCC and Leslie Family Preschool.
• Collaborate with a team of 60 talented educators, including specialists in gardening, outdoor classroom, movement, and music.
• Teach in 14 relatively new classrooms, four spacious play yards, two full and bountiful gardens, and an orchard.
• Maintain lower ratios and receive more support compared to other institutions.

Requirements

• 12 or more ECE units (AA and/or BA degree in ECE or related field and teacher permit preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed child care/educational environment.
• Knowledge of Constructivist/Reggio Emilia Approach to teaching and learning is desirable.
