About Little Wonders
For nearly 15 years, Little Wonders has provided quality care for families in Lopatcong and Phillipsburg. Our program features a Grow NJ Kids quality rating, a state-approved curriculum, small class sizes, and beautiful natural outdoor play spaces where play and learning go hand in hand.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Lead by example, modeling and coaching teaching teams to foster success.
- Plan and facilitate individual and group activities that encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Maintain frequent communication with parents through discussions, progress reports, conferences, and approved platforms.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe classroom environment, including hygiene, safety, and security standards.
- Supervise teacher assistants and students to ensure adherence to planned activities and standards.
- Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
- Develop and follow a personal professional development plan for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience.
- Minimum CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or higher.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including basic computer proficiency.
- High energy and ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and parents to foster a team environment.
- Strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening.
- Physical ability to walk indoors and outdoors, use hands and fingers, handle objects, talk, and hear at various volumes. May require kneeling, bending, squatting, crawling, lifting, and performing basic indoor/outdoor housekeeping tasks.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a minimum of 30 ECE credit hours.
- Appreciation and respect for nature and the environment.

About Us
Little Wonders Childcare & Learning Center is a Grow NJ Kids-rated center in scenic Warren County, New Jersey. Our certified and experienced teachers provide a quality program for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, following a state-approved curriculum aligned with New Jersey Birth to Three Early Learning Standards and the New Jersey Department of Education’s Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards.
