Pay

• Part time 7:45-1 or 8:45-2 in inclusion preschool setting.
• School calendar plus 6 weeks summer school.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care and instruction.
• Support the development and education of preschool children, ages 3 to 5 years, within our Inclusive classrooms alongside a Lead Teacher and Special Education Teacher.
• Aids in teaching developmentally appropriate academic and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten through strong, language-based, whole group, small group, and one-on-one interactions.

• Create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment where children are encouraged to be curious and excited to learn.
• Implement effective classroom management.
• Help to set and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.

Qualifications

• Expertise in delivering care for the educational, developmental, and social emotional growth of the children in your charge.
• A warm, engaging approach with a family-centered focus.
• The drive to work hard, to be your best self and to adapt to the constant change and evolution of care for children in their Early Childhood years.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to share feedback across teams in a collaborative and solution-oriented way.
• Preferred but not required: An active NYS Teacher Assistant certification. We will pay for your certification!

About the role

Little Lukes Preschool and Childcare Center is a place where education and fun are incorporated as one. We offer all the resources needed to be successful as part of our team, including award-winning curriculum and a variety of supplies to stimulate brain development in children. Employment opportunities may include Teacher, TA, 1:1 Aide for preschool child with special needs, morning opener, afternoon closer, receptionist and cleaner. In addition, each center employs a team of special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physical therapists and counselors to provide specialized preschool programs for children with special needs.
