Preschool Substitute Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

UCCA is seeking flexible and caring Substitute Assistant Teachers to support Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms. This position assists teachers in maintaining safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environments for young children.

Compensation

Up to $100.96 per day

Schedule

No set schedule. On demand/ Part-Time position; Operating hours Monday–Friday 6:45am-3:30pm

- Assist classroom teachers with daily activities - Support children’s learning and development - Help maintain classroom cleanliness and organization - Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities - Assist with meal service and daily routines - Support positive interactions with children and families

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• EDU 119 or CDA preferred
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license required

Qualifications

• Must be able to actively supervise young children, move throughout classroom environments, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
