Preschool Subsitute Teacher

About the role

This is a general substitute teaching position in our Preschool program.

Qualifications

- Demonstrate the ability to successfully work with a variety of students, individually and in small groups. - Ability to adapt classroom work for the purpose of providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans. - Be able to integrate Biblical principles into their daily teaching as well as model those in their daily lives. - Active Christian in agreement with and willing to sign the NorthPointe Christian School’s Foundational statements. https://www.npchristian.org/what-we-believe/

Physical Demands

- Physically able to: - Frequently stand and sit for extended periods of time. - Frequently use manual dexterity and/or mobility to grasp and/or manipulate objects, operate equipment, and move around the classroom. - On occasion, engage with students while kneeling, squatting, stooping, or bending 50-70 degrees at the waist. - Perform daily repetitive movement of fingers and hands when writing and typing. - Read printed and electronic material daily. See with clarity objects using close, distant, and peripheral vision. - Sufficiently hear conversations in person and distinguish sounds clearly up to 20 feet. - Must be able to maintain continuous safety of the students and respond quickly and appropriately to any threat toward their well-being.
