Preschool Special Education Speech Therapist
Speech & Language Pathologist
The Speech & Language Pathologist develops, implements, and evaluates treatment plans for students with speech/language needs. The Bronx Early Learning Center is a vibrant and nurturing special education preschool.
- Assess speech-language skills as necessary to determine child’s need for therapy.
- Provide quality speech therapy services to students as mandated on the IEP.
- Consult and interface with colleagues at team meetings.
- Provide parent training and ongoing communication with parents.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation.
- Provide in-service training and participate in staff development activities.
- Met with supervisor on ongoing basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- New York State Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicap, or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities
- Master’s degree in speech-language pathology and/or NYS Professional License as a Speech Language Pathologist.
