About Alpha

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, stronger mentorship, and more time for students to build real-world skills. The organization breaks from conventional early education models by integrating play-centered curriculum development with live developmental tracking. Alpha hires educators, operators, admissions experts, school and curriculum leaders, and remote team members, offering six-figure roles for those ready to help build a radically better school experience.

About the Role

What if intentional play could drive quantifiable developmental gains? As a Preschool Program Coordinator, you will create responsive learning experiences across all readiness areas, guide a team of educators to execute them with both rigor and warmth, and measure concrete milestone advancement for each child. This position demands active leadership, with approximately one-third of your time spent in the classroom demonstrating facilitation methods, observing, and conducting alignment reviews. The remainder involves curriculum creation, coaching educators toward clear performance targets, and delivering data-informed updates to families.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and small-group coaching with PreK Guides, demonstrating methods and recognizing quantifiable progress
  • Create and lead play-based learning experiences that integrate social-emotional learning, literacy, numeracy, and physical development, exemplifying excellence for your team
  • Audit and align Guide documentation on a weekly basis to ensure rubric consistency and clarity, facilitating calibration meetings to maintain transparent milestone tracking
  • Develop family communications and facilitate team coordination meetings that unify focus and sustain collective commitment to campus PreK readiness objectives

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Adhering to scripted lessons or compliance-focused workflows — you will build flexible, play-centered learning sequences informed by actual performance data
  • Delivering a pre-packaged curriculum from external sources — you control quarterly and weekly instructional design
  • Operating without structured feedback channels — coaching dialogues and calibration reviews are embedded weekly
  • Overseeing K-12 learners engaged in software-driven instruction — this position focuses entirely on early childhood, in-person, classroom-embedded work

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related discipline; Master's degree or advanced certification preferred
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in early childhood education, child development, or a related area
  • Direct experience facilitating learning for groups of children ages 3 to 5
  • Demonstrated capability in designing and executing play-based educational frameworks or curricula that support developmental milestone achievement, such as Montessori
  • A minimum of 1 year coaching or supervising educators with clear performance metrics
  • Background in composing written progress communications for families and facilitating team coordination sessions within an educational context
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Commitment to in-person work at the Alpha Austin campus

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Knowledge of educational technology systems, adaptive analytics platforms, or digital observation solutions deployed in early childhood environments
  • Background with behavior management approaches and co-regulation practices for children ages 3-5

Pay

$150,000 annual salary, distributed weekly.

Benefits

  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage starting day one

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
