What You’ll Be Doing
- Teach and monitor preschool children ages 3 to 6 years to provide appropriate experiences that are consistent with preschool goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain daily lesson plans and activities which meet the early childhood core learning curriculum components and Gte-Ga-Nes standards
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to identify the strengths and needs of each child in order to individualize program services and provides assessment of each child’s developmental strengths and needs on a regular basis
- Work with area schools, other FCP departments and staff, outside providers, and family and community members to offer best practices and quality care for the children
- Ride bus as a monitor as needed
- Attend and assist in coordinating family events, field trips, other activities, flexing work hours when needed
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related field required
- Five (5) years or more of experience in an Early Childhood position
- Must possess Shaken Baby Syndrome certificate and infant/child CPR training (or obtain immediately upon hire & before supervising children)
- Must have no convictions or pending charges of any “Crimes substantially related to the care of children” and pass State & Federal Caregiver Background Checks
- Proficiency in writing and oral communication, computer, and record-keeping skills
- Successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Early childhood or related field
