About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including children. A commitment to maintaining patient comfort and safety while adhering to HIPAA regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride.
  • Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow for the dentist.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review for each patient visit.
  • Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency.

Requirements

  • Registered Dental Hygienist license (Required).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist (Required).
  • Ability to commute to Derry, NH 03038 (Required).
  • Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft.
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience in four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
  • Proficiency in vital signs monitoring and understanding of anatomy relevant to dental care.
  • Strong background in medical terminology, documentation review, medical coding, and infection control measures.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.

Pay

$50.00 - $55.00 per hour
