Preschool Classroom Aide
About the Role
Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers in Rochester, MI is seeking an energetic, caring, and flexible Building Resource Teacher to support our Preschool classroom. As a vital team member, you'll provide support for the Lead and Assistant Preschool teachers, build meaningful connections with children and their families, ensure seamless coverage during breaks, and maintain ratios. You will also serve as an integral part of the closing team, greeting parents at the end of the day when they pick up their children. This position offers growth opportunities, training, and development, with potential for advancement within the organization—ideal for someone looking to gain experience in early childhood education.
Status: Regular, part-time
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate care and supervision in the classroom, bathroom, hallways, and outdoors
- Abide by all Heartfelt company policies and procedures
- Support the Lead and Assistant Teacher in daily classroom activities
- Engage in active play and supervision with children
- Participate in and direct children through the daily routine
- Greet parents when they enter the classroom
- Follow Heartfelt Core Values in decision-making
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be certified in CPR/First Aid (can be completed after hire)
- Previous experience in a childcare setting or as a private nanny (preferred)
- Reliable transportation
Pay
$14.50–$17/hour (based on certification, education, and prior experience)
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM (onsite in Rochester, MI)
