Preschool Children's Director

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of all preschool ministry environments (Check-In, large group, small group, and childcare for events)
• Implementation of Christ-centered, biblically-driven curriculum fostering discipleship and spiritual growth for preschoolers
• Ensuring policies and procedures for safety, security, and volunteer preparedness
• Enlisting, equipping, empowering, and encouraging preschool volunteers through ongoing coaching, training, and care
• Building relationships with preschool families and volunteers
• Conducting weekly walkthroughs of preschool environments for quality, safety, and readiness
• Communicating consistently with preschool volunteers, leaders, and families to maintain alignment and vision

Key Behavioral Areas

• Hosting 1-2 volunteer huddles annually for prayer, encouragement, training, and vision casting
• Meting 1-3 times per month one-on-one with preschool volunteers and leaders for enlistment, encouragement, and equipping
• Holding weekly pre-service meetings for prayer, encouragement, and communication of key updates
• Performing weekly walkthroughs of preschool environments for safety, excellence, and preparedness
• Meting every 4-8 weeks with each direct report (coaches or ministry staff) for feedback, alignment, and coaching
• Ensuring each direct report has a written growth plan and receiving consistent encouragement and accountability
• Prioritizing personal development and ministry excellence through participation in staff meetings, chapels, and training opportunities

Central Support

• Create and meet deadlines for weekly curriculum distribution
• Collaborate with Children's Ministers and Children's MCD in selecting and distributing family discipleship resources
• Offer topical resources and tools to help parents thrive as the primary disciplers of their kids' faith
• Enlist and develop Serve Team Members to assist in the production of weekly curriculum, as needed
• Attend and participate in children's ministry team meetings and huddles as scheduled
• Adhere to spending limits in alignment with the budget set for central ministry
