Preschool Assistant Teacher
About the role
The preschool is seeking teachers for infants through VPK who are passionate, creative, and enjoy having fun while teaching. The Creative Curriculum forms the basis of their learning and planning.
Responsibilities
Enrich children’s love of learning through hands-on, fun experiences. Maintain high standards and ensure all staff members have completed the required 40-45 hours of DCF Childcare Licensing training, including Part 1 & 2, and hold a Staff Credential or CDA/FCCPC credential. One or more years of experience in a childcare facility is preferred, along with an associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education, two or more years of experience working with infants through pre-kindergarten, and advanced training in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse, and Child Development.
Requirements
- Must have a High School diploma or GED
- Must have completed the 40-45 hours DCF Childcare Licensing training (Part 1 & 2)
- Must have a Staff Credential and/or CDA or FCCPC credential
- One (1) or more years of experience working in a child care facility
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education is preferred
- Two (2) or more years of experience working with infants through pre-kindergarten in a child care facility
- Advanced training in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse, and Child Development is preferred
