About the role
Weinberg Early Learning Center is seeking a creative, energetic, nurturing, dedicated, patient, dependable, and professional teacher who loves working with infants or toddlers.
Responsibilities
- Hold, rock, sing to, smile at, and explore the world with infants
- Conduct tummy time for or activities to strengthen large gross motor/muscle development
- Lead individual and small group experiences
- Spend time outside to connect with nature
- Provide a feeling of security
- Stimulate language development
- Encourage intellectual development
- Provide parents with daily reports
Requirements
- CDA; advanced degrees preferred
- Early childhood education experience, preferably with infants
- Speak, read, and write English fluently
- CPR and 1st Aid Certifications (or willingness to obtain these)
- Must be able to adapt to continuously changing, fast-paced environment, and make the children's needs your primary focus
- Must be able to kneel, stoop, squat, and stand for a majority of the day
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Pass state background check
Qualifications
- Experience working with babies’ ages 12 weeks to 12 months, 12-18 months, or 18-24 months
