Summary of Position
This position supports the lead teacher of the 2 year old classroom in helping create a safe, loving and nurturing environment for the two year old students to learn about themselves, others and God. This includes prepping for activities, keeping a safe and clean classroom, helping students with potty training, diapering and leading activities when asked by the lead teacher. The assistant works closely with the lead teacher in helping to observe and evaluated each student's individual needs, growth and support that may be needed.
Essential Functions
- Works closely with lead teacher to help plan and implement daily routines and planned activities.
- Provide all the diaper changes for students still in diapers and works hand in hand with the lead teacher as a child progresses through the potty training process.
- Clean certain parts of classroom daily and materials as needed.
- Prep and prepare materials for crafts and planned activities and seasonal themes.
- Pray for students and their overall wellbeing and growth. Observe individual students and their individual needs and growth. Work closely with lead teacher before Winter and Spring conferences to help accurately assess the growth of each student in all domains including: physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and if applicable in specific academic areas such as math, reading and science.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Highschool diploma.

- Support and model individual spiritual formation i.e. Worship, Grow and Serve. (Weekly worship, prayer, scripture reading, small group, volunteering/service, etc.).
- Regularly attends worship and participates in ministry events at Christ Church or a Christ Church campus unless exempted by Christ Church leadership.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- On your feet most of the day, bending, squatting and sitting on the floor frequently throughout the day. Sitting on small two-year-old chairs, picking up and often holding children.

- Willingness to change diapers and appreciates the process and accomplishment of a two/three-year-old potty training.
