About the role

Kamaʻāina Kids is hiring Preschool & Toddler Aides. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of early childhood education while earning a steady paycheck, receiving benefits, and gaining the training and credentials you need to grow.

Pay

$17–18.50 per hour, DOE

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Interested in childcare but don’t have all the credentials yet? That doesn’t have to stop you. We have a limited number of entry-level Aide positions for candidates who are ready to learn and work toward becoming PATCH qualified. You’ll have access to:

What You’ll Do

As a Preschool or Toddler Aide, you’ll be part of the team creating a classroom where keiki feel safe, supported, and excited to come each day. You’ll help:

  • Engage children in art, music, stories, sensory play, outdoor activities, and hands-on learning
  • Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Encourage communication, independence, curiosity, and confidence
  • Comfort children through tough moments and celebrate their accomplishments
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
  • Keep classrooms clean, organized, safe, and ready for learning

What You Need To Get Started

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A genuine interest in working with young children
  • Dependability, patience, and a willingness to learn
