Preschool Aide
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing daily lessons and learning activities.
- Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Supervise children during classroom instruction, centers, recess, lunch, rest time, and other activities.
- Help prepare and organize instructional materials, learning centers, and classroom resources.
- Aid students with daily routines, transitions, and self-help skills.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Monitor student behavior and reinforce classroom expectations and positive behavior practices.
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and recordkeeping as needed.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, staff, and families.
- Support and uphold the mission, values, and Catholic identity of the school.
- Follow all school policies regarding student safety, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with young children or a willingness to work with preschool-aged students.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.
- Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and a nurturing approach to working with children.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and actively supervise children throughout the school day.
