Preschool Afternoons Teacher

About the role

Available weekdays 12:00pm-6:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement programs and promote learning in a licensed, Reggio-inspired, play-based, constructivist preschool program.
• Serve children ages 18 months to 5 years.
• Work in accordance with the OFJCC Leslie Family Preschool's guiding principles and values.

Requirements

• 12 or more ECE units (AA and/or BA degree in ECE or related field & teacher permit preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed child care/educational environment.
• Knowledge of Constructivist/Reggio Emilia Approach to teaching and learning desirable.
• Flexible and enthusiastic.
• Friendly, warm, and nurturing.
• Have some other interesting interests or skills, such as cooking, dancing, music, woodworking, juggling, origami, etc.
• Write well and be comfortable speaking to parents.
• Willing to do diaper changing and changing children’s clothes when needed.

Qualifications

• Comparable experience and willingness to enroll in ECE classes will be considered.

Available in the afternoons from 10:00am-6:00pm or 12:00pm-6:00pm
