Join Cub Care Children's Center in Vestal, NY as a Preschool Afternoon Assistant Teacher working with Preschool (3–5). The role calls for no formal credential — just relevant experience and offers $16 – $16.50/Hr to qualified childcare professionals.

What You'll Do

• Build on your experience working with children, demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and good communication skills with children and adults.
• Work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher and assist in coordinating activities with other staff members.
• Auxiliary in the preparation and organization of learning materials for the classroom.
• Communicate consistently and effectively with families and refer them to the Lead Teacher for details regarding their child's classroom experiences.
• Participate in regular staff meetings by bringing questions, concerns, and ideas to the group for discussions.
• Complete a minimum of 15 hours of training/coaching annually in the required content areas as specified by the Office of Children and Family Services.

Requirements

• Preferred: Associates Degree or CDA (Child Development Associate) Certificate
• Min Requirement: High School Diploma and experience working with children ages 2-5
• Part- time 30 Hrs/week 11:15am - 4:45pm or 5:45 pm
• Health Check Required
• Background Check Required
• 3 References Required
• Fingerprinting Required

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working with children ages 2-5 is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred but not required.
