About the role
In this role, you serve as the critical link between customer files and the press — reviewing, preparing, and refining digital artwork so every job runs clean, accurate, and on color. This position demands sharp attention to detail, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where quality is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Review work orders, customer notes, and digital paperwork to fully understand project requirements.
- Verify document sizes, margins, bleeds, and color separations; remove unused or extraneous colors.
- Confirm fonts, graphics, and images process correctly; troubleshoot file issues before they reach the press.
- Prepare files for refining/RIP and build accurate press impositions.
- Output proofs for review and save final pages as press-ready PDFs for the correct workflow.
- Process files through Kodak Prinergy and resolve preflight or workflow errors as they arise.
- Partner with CSR, Job Planning, and Production teams to keep jobs moving on schedule.
- Maintain consistent quality, accuracy, and attention to detail on every file that leaves your station.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of prepress, graphic design, or related production experience.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
- Experience with Kodak Prinergy workflow strongly preferred.
- Solid math skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively across departments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
