Preppers/Polishers - Entry Level

About the role

Robinson Helicopter Company, a leading manufacturer of civil rotorcraft with a 50‑year history, is seeking a Prepper‑Polisher for its Paint Department in Torrance, CA. The position reports to the Manager of Paint Operations, is full‑time, non‑exempt, and eligible for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Sand primer and detect minor dents for repair.
• Masking of surfaces prior to painting.
• Mix fillers to repair minor dents.
• Color and polish out minor imperfections.
• Detect orange peel and polish it out.
• Available for both 1st and 2nd shift work; 2nd shift includes an 8% shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a body shop or detailing, or training for a career in automotive refinishing.
• Full compliance with the company’s DOT Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Pay

Hourly rate range: $19.00 – $25.00.

Schedule

• Full‑time, eligible for overtime.
• Both 1st and 2nd shift available; 2nd shift receives an additional 8% shift differential.
