Prep/Relief Cook - Per Diem

About the role

Per diem Prep/Relief Cook position working on a part-time basis. Must be available to fill in for absent employees and work special events or projects. This role will be trained in dietary aide, prep cook, and cook positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient meal trays and special diet requirements
• Nourishment preparation
• Dishwashing and clean up
• Preparation of tray service for the next meal
• Follow state and federal mandated regulations for food preparation and storage

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must pass required state and federal background checks (per NRS 449 and NRS 200)
• Institutional food preparation experience preferred
• Food Handler’s Card is preferred
• Ability to multitask, work well with the public and staff, and be organized and dependable
• May be required to obtain ServSafe Certification within the first 30 days of employment

Pay

Starts at $16.95 per hour.
