Prep Production Technician - Caldwell, TX

About the role

BASF ECMS offers a competitive starting pay of $19.50 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift premium. Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, clean and maintain equipment related to burn, blend, and sample processes.
• Move and dump drums.
• Operate various chemical batch process equipment in a safe manner.
• Keep accurate Batch/Run sheets to maintain good metal control.
• Perform general maintenance responsibilities:
• Repair mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks
• Detect and report the need for maintenance repairs
• Able to understand a process and solve problems and troubleshoot.
• Operate mobile equipment, including but not limited to: forklift, man lift, scissor lift, tractor and skid steer.
• Follow all safety regulations.
• Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in work area.
• Able to work well with others.
• Knowledge of safety regulations associated with a chemical operation.
• Knowledge of proper material handling procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• 0 to 5 years Industrial/Mechanical maintenance experience

Pay

The competitive Starting Pay Rate for this role is $19.50/hr. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
