Prep Production Technician - Caldwell, TX
About the role
BASF ECMS offers a competitive starting pay of $19.50 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift premium. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, monitor, clean and maintain equipment related to burn, blend, and sample processes.
- Move and dump drums.
- Operate various chemical batch process equipment in a safe manner.
- Keep accurate Batch/Run sheets to maintain good metal control.
- Perform general maintenance responsibilities:
- Repair mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Detect and report the need for maintenance repairs
- Able to understand a process and solve problems and troubleshoot.
- Operate mobile equipment, including but not limited to: forklift, man lift, scissor lift, tractor and skid steer.
- Follow all safety regulations.
- Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in work area.
- Able to work well with others.
- Knowledge of safety regulations associated with a chemical operation.
- Knowledge of proper material handling procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- 0 to 5 years Industrial/Mechanical maintenance experience

Pay
The competitive Starting Pay Rate for this role is $19.50/hr. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
