Key Responsibilities
- Follow prep lists created by chefs and kitchen managers
- Label, organize, and stock cooking ingredients
- Complete all assigned prep tasks accurately and efficiently
- Wash, chop, sort, and prepare ingredients including fruits, vegetables, and meats
- Measure and portion ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and storage standards
- Monitor food and cooling temperatures
- Assist with inventory organization and ingredient replenishment
- Learn and apply kitchen techniques and cooking methods
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Support chefs and kitchen managers with food preparation and production needs
Essential Functions / Working Conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to grasp and reach overhead
- Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Qualifications & Experience
- Passion for food, quality, and hospitality
- Desire to work as part of a team
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and afternoons/evenings
- At least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
