Summary Of Prep Cooks’ Primary Responsibilities
- Follow prep lists created by chefs and kitchen leadership
- Label and stock all cooking ingredients
- Complete prep tasks accurately and efficiently
- Wash, chop, sort, and prepare ingredients including fruits, vegetables, and meats
- Measure quantities of seasonings and cooking ingredients
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate restocking needs
- Learn and execute cooking methods and techniques used within the kitchen
- Ensure all food items are properly stored and easily accessible
- Monitor food and cooling room temperatures
- Assist chefs with food preparation and additional culinary tasks as needed
Summary Of Line Cooks’ Primary Responsibilities
- Execute cooking techniques under the direction of kitchen leadership
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, and additional kitchen equipment
- Ensure food and equipment temperatures are maintained correctly
- Set up and break down workstations before and after shifts
- Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, workstations, equipment, and preparation areas
- Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain quality and consistency standards throughout service
- Assist chefs with food preparation and additional culinary tasks as needed
Summary Of Dishwashers’ Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain proper care and cleanliness of the dishwashing machine and dish area
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and dishwashing areas
- Support kitchen operations wherever needed
