Prep Cook & Utility Worker, Tavern at the Tee (2026 003830)

Core Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients for service.
• Prepare simple menu items such as sandwiches, wraps, and salads.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety, sanitation, and compliance standards.
• Load and unload dish machines, and properly store clean dishes, pots, and pans.
• Stock supplies and ingredients for upcoming shifts.
• Sweep, mop, and clean kitchen, dish room, walk-ins, and waste areas.
• Dispose of trash and recycling and rinse containers as needed.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff for smooth operations.

Requirements

• No previous kitchen experience required; prior food service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must physically be able to lift 10-20 lbs. numerous times during the day.
• Up to 50 lbs. several times per day and must be able to push or pull a cart up to 70 lbs. frequently.
• Requires frequent walking and long periods of time standing.
• Must be able to work in a hot and humid environment.

Pay

The minimum starting rate for the position is $17.45 per hour.

Schedule

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
