Job Summary

Join our award-winning team at Valley View Care Center, 2024 National Quality SILVER Award Winners! Prep-cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our guests, ensuring the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus
• Prepare food according to established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and policies
• Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies
• Coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times
• Auxiliary tasks such as tray line setup and plate assembly
• Assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with guests, their families, and visitors

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ServSafe certification
• 2+ years related kitchen experience
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Schedule

Part-time positions available, including rotating weekends and some holidays. Day shift also available (first shift).
