About the Role
Support the operation to deliver superior guest service by performing assigned duties, including food preparation and related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Process a variety of vegetables, meats, seafood, poultry, and other food items for cooking.
- Ensure all recipes are prepared in accordance with Concessions International procedures.
- Follow standardized recipes to maintain quality and consistency from prep to the designated workstation.
- Check daily prep lists and cooler pull lists to prepare only what is required.
- Organize and plan daily activities before beginning work.
- Wash, peel, slice, and mix vegetables, fruits, or other ingredients for sandwiches, salads, soups, cold plates, and garnishes.
- Measure and mix ingredients for salad dressings, sauces, desserts, and other food products.
- Operate and maintain all equipment and workstations in accordance with sanitary, safety, and maintenance procedures.
- Follow safe food handling practices and clean all equipment and workstations as required.
- Label, date, rotate, and store all food products according to company standards.
- Ensure slicers, scales, refrigeration, and cooking equipment are operating correctly and at the proper temperature.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively communicate information individually and in small group situations to customers and coworkers.
- Basic mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply reasonable understanding in carrying out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand during a 6-8 hour shift.
- Use hands to manipulate and operate objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, shake, stir, and wipe.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to taste or smell food products.
Work Environment
The role involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment where adherence to safety and sanitation standards is critical.
