PREP COOK (FULL TIME)

Location: Morristown Beard School, 70 Whippany Road, Morristown, NJ 07960. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm.

About the role

Prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Works from daily production schedules and recipes, ensures quality and safety through HACCP compliance, and provides friendly, efficient service at multiple stations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef
• Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
• Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
• Taste completed meals to ensure quality
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
• Store, label, and date all food items according to policy
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
• Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations
• Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation time
• Serve customers efficiently and courteously
• Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve at multiple stations
• Use approved recipes and production standards for proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control
• Resolve customer concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous experience preferred

Pay

$18.00–$18.50 per hour.
