PREP COOK (FULL TIME)

About the role

Flik Hospitality Group is seeking a full-time PREP COOK to join our team at Ropes & Gray, located at 1211 Avenue Of The Americas, New York, NY 10036. Online applications are accepted only. The position offers a fixed pay rate of $23.00 per hour, free meals, uniforms, and laundering services.

Responsibilities

• Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels, and dates all food items according to policy.
• Follows HACCP guidelines.
• Completes all required documentation, reports, logs as required.
• Complies with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
• Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Serves customers from steam tables and grill at multiple stations.
• Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels, and dates all food items according to policy.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Resolves customer concerns.

Qualifications

Previous prep cooking experience is preferred. Internal Employee Referral Bonus is available.

Skills

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Pay

The fixed pay rate is $23.00 per hour.

Schedule

The schedule is Full time, Monday through Friday, with hours varying. Further details will be provided during the interview process.
