PREP COOK (FULL TIME)
About the role
Flik Hospitality Group is seeking immediate full-time PREP COOK positions at their location at 100 Grainger Parkway, Attn: Flik, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with varying hours. Previous 1 year of prep cooking experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
- Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
- Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
- Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
- Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
- Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy.
- Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
- Completes all required documentation, reports, logs as required.
- Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
- Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Completes orders from steam tables and grill and serves customers at multiple stations.
- Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
- Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy.
- Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
- Resolves customer concerns.
Qualifications
Previous 1 year of prep cooking experience preferred. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.
Skills
Must have strong attention to detail and follow instructions carefully. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Pay
$19.00 per hour to $21.00 per hour. Free meals, uniforms and laundering service available at select locations.
Schedule
