Prep-Cook / Driver

About the role

Key Purpose: The Cook will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events. The general responsibilities of the position may differ from account to account, depending on business needs and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
• Drive a delivery vehicle to transport prepared foods from the production kitchen to various sites following a predetermined schedule
• Clock in and out for workday and during breaks
• Provide the highest quality of service in accordance with ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards
• Utilize food preparation procedures in accordance with current federal, state, and local guidelines
• Execute NetMenu recipe preparation of food items as directed by production sheets and/or LC, SC, or Executive Chef
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment following ISS/Guckenheimer and government regulatory rules
• Notify management of ingredient discrepancies, food/equipment safety issues, or other situations requiring attention
• Attend all meetings of the day
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year professional cooking experience or education equivalent
• Valid state driver’s license
• Must be 18 or older
• Clean and safe DMV driving record

• Kitchen organization and cleanliness provide a safe environment for all employees and guests
• Workplace Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
• Food Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
• HACCP guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
• All internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
• Ability to work safely with large volume culinary equipment including slicer, large mixer, food processors, blenders, and chopper

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
• Utilize team lift, transportation carts, and any other means of assistance when dealing with heavy loads
• Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code
• Work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
• Safely operate a mid-sized company delivery van/truck

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00 per hour – $19.00 per hour.

Schedule

The work hours for this position are approximately 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
