Prep Cook

About the role

We’re seeking dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our kitchen staff as Prep Cooks at Walters Wedding Estates, a premier venue under the Walters Hospitality brand. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our clients, and we need individuals who share that commitment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking process, following recipes and kitchen standards.
• Plate and present food beautifully, adhering to presentation guidelines.
• Assist with food service during events, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment, following all sanitation and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent, culinary degree preferred
• Required Experience: 1-2 years of successful culinary experience
• Certifications: Serve Safe Food Handlers
• Physical Requirements: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hours
• Other: Must be eligible to work in the United States; submit/complete background check; have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Schedule

Part-Time: Weekends and Evenings when events take place. Must be available and willing to work weekends, holidays, late nights. Hourly: $20 per hour, based on experience.
