Prep Cook

About the role

We’re seeking dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our kitchen staff as Prep Cooks at Walters Wedding Estates, a premier venue under the Walters Hospitality brand. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our clients, and we need individuals who share that commitment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking process, following recipes and kitchen standards.
• Plate and present food beautifully, adhering to presentation guidelines.
• Assist with food service during events, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment, following all sanitation and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (culinary degree preferred).
• 1-2 years of successful culinary experience.
• Serve Safe Food Handlers certification.
• Able to lift 30 lbs frequently and stand/walk 8-12 hours.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; Walters Hospitality participates in E-Verify.
• Must submit/complete a background check, have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Pay

Hourly: $14 - $16 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule

Part-Time: Weekends and evenings when events take place. Must be available and willing to work weekends, holidays, and late nights.
