About the role
Kikka sushi is hiring a dependable Food Prep / Cook / Team Member to prepare sushi, salad rolls, poke bowls, and spring rolls. Responsibilities include greeting customers, cleaning, and preparing foods for the day and the next day.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sushi, salad rolls, poke bowls, and spring rolls according to customer requests
- Clean and prep foods for the day and the next day
- Greet, talk to, and thank all customers
- Put away shipments once a week
Requirements
- Full-time position, 5 days a week (Friday-Sunday, and holidays)
- Work hours: 7am - 8pm, including one unpaid hour for meal break
- Show up to work on time and as scheduled
- Willing to learn and work hard
- Patient (it takes about 3 months to make sushi quickly and look nice)
- Willing to stick it out (not quit after a few weeks or a couple of months)
- Work with multi-cultural and multi-lingual co-workers
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Know what sushi is (hint: it’s not raw fish)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- No experience making sushi; pay is $17.00, not negotiable

Pay
$17.00 per hour. Up to $19.00, depending on years of sushi-making work experience.
Schedule
Full-time, 5 days a week (Friday-Sunday, and holidays), working between 7am - 8pm (includes a one-hour unpaid meal break).
