Premium Suite Attendant | Part-Time | Penn State University Athletics

Position Summary

The Premium Suite Attendant is responsible for serving guests in the Suites. The role pays an hourly rate of $17.00-$19.00 and is tip eligible. Benefits for Part-Time roles include a 401(k) Savings Plan with matching.

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting up food service areas within specific suites and club areas based upon pre-order
• Ensures all assigned suites are set prior to event based upon communication received of orders
• Organizes and prepares events in assigned locations
• Aids in closing out financials per event and ensures correct billing takes place
• Maintains and monitors food quality
• Fulfills inventory control and product requisitions
• Supervises the service of beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages
• Verifies guest IDs to ensure compliance with minimum age requirements for alcohol purchases
• Observes guests to respond to additional requests
• Maintains necessary serving ware in suites
• Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
• Recognizes visibly intoxicated guests and takes appropriate action
• Performs other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment experience
• Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
• Basic math skills relevant to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory
