About the role

Responsible for seating residents in the dining room and handling customer service situations as they arise. This role helps create an enjoyable dining experience while promoting a safe, clean, and neat environment for guests and associates.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.
• Maintain exceptional communication skills and demonstrate flexibility, patience, and an interest in people.
• Supervise food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
• Help train new food-service team members.
• Supervise the closing of the assigned dining room, ensuring side work and station setup are properly completed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and help evacuate guests to safety in the event of fire or other emergencies.
• Assist with service, including occasional bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments during special events or functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
