Premium Auditor (Field & Hybrid)

Billing Hourly Compensation: $30–$45 Per Billable Hour (estimated annual compensation $40-$60k)

RLD Associates, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Premium Auditor to join our growing team. This is a full-time remote position responsible for servicing the Norristown, PA territory.
Responsibilities
- Review assigned audit requests, including Workers' Compensation and General Liability policies
- Manage and prioritize a territory-based audit inventory
- Contact insureds to schedule audit appointments and maintain professional communication throughout the audit process
- Conduct on-site and virtual audits of business operations and financial records
- Examine payroll records, tax filings, general ledgers, cash disbursements, and other accounting documents
- Research and apply insurance classification and rating rules in accordance with carrier guidelines and industry standards
- Interview business owners and key personnel to obtain accurate exposure information
- Prepare detailed, professional audit reports utilizing Microsoft Excel and proprietary systems
- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing both RLD Associates and our carrier clients
Requirements
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, accounting, auditing, or commercial insurance
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Self-motivated, dependable, and highly professional
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other business software
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
Qualifications
- Previous experience conducting insurance premium audits
- Knowledge of insurance classifications and manual rules
Skills
Technical skills include proficiency in auditing methodologies, risk assessment, and analytical software, as well as knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Soft skills such as strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are also essential, enabling auditors to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, identify and address issues, and provide actionable recommendations.

Pay
$30 to $45 per billable hour (this represents a range of rates dependent on audit type and prior experience)
