PREK/PRIMARY EDUCATION TEACHER POOL (2026-2027 SY)

About the role

This position is open to candidates who are certified in Prekindergarten/Primary Education (ages 3 through grade 3) and are willing to teach at one of the following schools: George W. Munroe Elem School, Havana Magnet School, Gadsden Elementary Magnet School, Greensboro Elem School, Chattahoochee Elem School, or Stewart Street Elem School.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Provide instruction that supports the social, emotional, physical, and academic growth of students.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Florida certification in Prekindergarten/Primary Education (ages 3 through grade 3).
• Experience working with children in the age range of 3 through grade 3.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
• Knowledge of current educational theories and practices.

Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The salary range for this position is from $48,777.40 to $60,722.40 per year.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with the possibility of some evening or weekend work depending on the needs of the school.
