PreK Lunch/Recess Supervision (11am-1:30pm)

About the role

This position assists with the supervision of students during non-instructional activities before, during, and/or after the school day. Part-Time Aides may work for the school for no longer than 3.75 hours each day.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of students during lunch and/or recess period(s)
• Assist with supervision of students during study halls (to only be held during non-instructional minutes)
• Assist with supervision of students during in-school suspensions
• Assist with supervision of students during student entry/exit
• Assist with supervision of students in and around the school building

Part-Time Aides cannot take on the duties of other clearly defined school-based positions, including but not limited to teacher’s assistants, instructional assistants, special education classroom assistants, children’s welfare attendants, security guards or aides, or clerks.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent (required)
• One year of experience in the supervision of children in an organized setting (preferred)
• Ability to work with and for school children
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to learn and follow school and district policies, procedures, and expectations
