Key Responsibilities
- Eligibility and Recruitment
- Support outreach and recruitment of at-risk children and families.
- Aid families with enrollment, registration, transportation, and required documentation.
- Inform families about the importance of early learning and regular attendance.
- Prepare screening materials, schedule appointments, and maintain student files.
- Family and Comprehensive Services
- Assess family needs and connect families to community resources and supports.
- Maintain documentation of family goals, services, and progress.
- Support access to medical, dental, and mental health services.
- Conduct home visits to strengthen home-school connections and address family or attendance concerns.
- Identify and advocate for children with special needs.
- Parent Engagement and Education
- Promote family involvement in classrooms and school activities.
- Cookordinate family education opportunities and workshops related to child development, health, and family well-being.
- Support parent leadership opportunities, including Parent Advisory Council participation.
- Aid with communication, family engagement, and kindergarten transition activities.
- Program Support
- Maintain meal sheets, contact logs, and family communication records.
- Support Pyramid Model implementation and provide social-emotional resources for families.
- Collaborate with grant staff, school personnel, and community agencies to support family engagement and access to services.
- Experience in early childhood education, child development, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, Google applications, and the internet.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, take initiative, and foster positive relationships with families and staff.
- Commitment to supporting at-risk families and cultural responsiveness to the community served.
- Ability to represent Harmony School District #175 positively.
- 12-month grant-funded position contingent upon the availability of grant funds.
- $27-$32/hour depending on experience.
