About the role
We are currently seeking a Prefab Tech at our Irving, TX office. This role involves performing various tasks including safety tasks and prefabrication tasks, while also requiring a strong foundation in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities
- Understand and follow Royal Safety procedures
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times on the shop floor
- Utilize appropriate PPE for the task at hand
- Be safety conscious and report to supervisors any safety violations or issues
- Prepare materials and products for safe transportation
- Safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Identify damage to equipment and materials
- Inspect all tools and equipment before use for any damage
- Attend weekly safety meetings and daily stretch and flex
- Receive and organize materials
- Unload and stock material
- Prepare materials for pick up
- Follow work plans based on SOP's and job specifications
- Perform material counts and track changes throughout the prefab process
- Use time management skills to track and record tasks
- Understand how to properly use hand tools and power tools
- Ensure all tools are properly cleaned, maintained, and inspected before and after each use
- Create items, assemblies, components, and products to Royal quality standards
- Ensure Royal QC is implemented on all products
- Able to understand plans, details, and panel schedules
- Able to create and track material counts and take-offs
- Learn the electrical trade
- Learn different work plans based on SOP's and job specifications
- Strive to learn the different materials utilized in the electrical construction industry
- Learn various electrical construction techniques, procedures, and standards in order to grow in the construction industry
Requirements
- High School or GED required
- Experience within the construction industry is a plus
- Electrical Apprentice License is a plus

Physical Requirements
- Must comply with all safety standards and procedures

- Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday
- Ability to operate tools and equipment safely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- May climb ladder on occasion
Salary Details
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
