Preconstruction Manager

About the role

The Christman Company is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead the regional preconstruction department, focusing on project strategies, resource allocation, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Vice President of Preconstruction to manage the regional preconstruction department.
• Develop and implement project strategies.
• Support business sales, team sales, and presentations.
• Ensure sound financial deals and risk management.
• Prepare and review project estimates at all stages.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and pricing.
• Coach and mentor team members.
• Ensure client satisfaction throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Manage successful client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in construction preconstruction or estimating roles.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks, motivate colleagues, and manage stakeholder priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
