Murphy Company, established in 1907, is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for its Preconstruction team in the Thornton, CO office. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive budgets and proposals based on detailed project requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project schedules.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and architects/engineers (A/E).
- Understand and manage construction site conditions, including field conditions, methods, and schedules.
- Procure and manage negotiated design/build and design/assist projects through the preconstruction phase.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam, with Quickpen/Autobid software experience preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in estimating, cost control, design, and preconstruction.
- Experience with a variety of complex mechanical projects, including laboratories, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, healthcare, breweries, institutional, and industrial settings.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to produce detailed and accurate budget and proposal documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage client and A/E relationships effectively.
- Knowledge of construction practices and industry standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam.
- Preferred experience with Quickpen/Autobid software.
