Key responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new project opportunities across the Charleston market.
- Lead all preconstruction activities from conceptual budgeting through GMP development.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors during design development.
- Evaluate drawings and specifications for constructability, cost savings, and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates across multiple project phases
Key requirements
- Preconstruction or estimating experience with a General Contractor
- Premarketing experience delivering commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, budgeting, and value engineering
- Experience managing projects ranging from $10M to $100M+
- Ability to build and maintain strong subcontractor relationships throughout the Charleston and Southeast markets
- Proficiency with industry estimating and preconstruction software
