Preconstruction Manager – Atlanta, GA About The Opportunity Our client, a well-established multifamily developer and general contractor with a strong presence in the Atlanta market, is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for a preconstruction or estimating professional looking to take on more ownership within a stable, high-growth organization. Position Summary The Preconstruction Manager will support the preconstruction process for ground-up multifamily and mixed-use developments, working closely with project executives, design teams, and trade partners to develop accurate budgets, schedules, and constructability assessments from early conceptual stages through GMP. Key Responsibilities Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates throughout project design phasesSolicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor bidsAssist in developing project budgets, GMPs, and value engineering optionsCollaborate with architects, engineers, and internal project teams during design developmentTrack market pricing trends and maintain historical cost dataSupport constructability reviews and identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunitiesHelp prepare bid packages, scopes of work, and preconstruction schedulesParticipate in owner and design team meetings as needed Qualifications 2+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating at a commercial or multifamily general contractorBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)Working knowledge of estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar)Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and cost driversExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $90,000–$130,000, commensurate with experienceAnnual bonus eligibilityComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO) Location: Atlanta, GA
