About the role
CORE is looking for a results-oriented PreConstruction Manager with experience in construction planning, estimating and project management to join our Lisle, IL team. This fast-paced department provides professional preconstruction and virtual construction services for large-scale Commercial, K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare and Municipal projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive preconstruction services, including estimating, scheduling, value engineering, risk management, bid solicitation and subcontractor outreach/procurement on multiple large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, preconstruction team members and the Operations team.
- Research market conditions, historical cost data, price building materials and labor, work on material quantifications and scopes, bid solicitations and schedule planning.
- Provide a detailed review of design plans and specifications on projects for a wide range of institutional clients.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience as part of a preconstruction or construction operations team
- Professional degree in construction management or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction technology, architecture, business administration)
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Technology: Proficiency with Assemble, OST, CAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
- PREFERRED: Experience with Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam and Procore, Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
- Willingness to relocate to or near Lisle, IL
- Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
